Background Information

Professor Tsao's research interests include: Modeling and Control of Dynamic Systems with Applications in Mechanical Systems, Manufacturing Processes, Automotive Systems, and Energy Systems; Digital Control, Repetitive and Learning Control, Adaptive and Optimal Control; Mechatronics.

He began his academic career at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as an Assistant Professor in 1988. Since 1999 he has been a Professor with the UCLA Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department. He also serves as the vice chair of undergraduate affairs.
